A t Officina Del Tempo we consider making watches a form of art, characterized by technology and passion, exclusive competence and care for details. Implementing high industrial standards along with the use of cutting edge technology is fundamental to the complicated production process. Every one of our watches is assembled by hand in our new cutting edge laboratory by the our skilled team of watchmakers.

After we receive movements from our suppliers in Switzerland and Japan, and after the hands and dials are attached, they are laid carefully in the watch casing. The crown and stem are inserted accurately to their place and a movement holder ensures perfect positioning of the movement, crown and stem and the start and reset pushers.

The laser engraved case back is now fitted with a gasket, and closed by an electronic machine calibrated to apply the exact pressure per the specifications of each model. A watch maker will now check for general functioning of the watch such as setting the time and date, chronograph stop, reset etc.

The finished watch case is now ready for its first pressure test. These tests will determine if a watch is water resistance or not. Air is used Instead of water to prevent damage to the watch. In the first test air is compressed into a chamber, and if any of it leaks into the watch case it is immediately disqualified by our Quality Control team. If a watch passes this initial test, it will be moved to the next step, where air is pulled out of a closed chamber. A computer calculates the quantity of air supposed to be found in the chamber, and if more air was pulled out - it must have come from inside the watch case, leading to disqualifying this assembly. Only after a watch passes both tests it is ready to be fitted with a strap. We use three type of straps - gel (rubber), leather and Stainless Steel. The gel version we use is an hypoallergenic silicon which does not fade or crack. Our leather straps use high end leather and comply with strict European environmental codes - no chemicals are used in the dye process. The new watch is carefully wrapped with protective film, and after it is labeled it is ready to ship to its new owner.

From the design and the careful material selection to the assembling and final testing of each item, the Officina Del Tempo production and quality control process guaranties the highest quality of our unique timepieces.
